It's a meet and greet, a chance for folks to talk to me about my books, the sports and settings of my books for kids as well as writing in general. Booklovers Gourmet is a nice local, independent bookstore that's also an inviting place to hang out. Plus it's stuffed to the rafters with books, with tons for kids, too. I'm hoping I can help some gift-givers choose a book for a kid who might like things that go fast as well as talk about my novels "for grown-ups."
