Local authors will be signing and selling books in the midst of the height of the apple-picking season. Brookfield Orchards features acres of apples ripe for picking, an old-fashioned country store, food to eat, and a playground with picnic area. September 25 they'll also feature a chance to "buy local" in a part of the country that plays home to some of our best writers. And me, too! Admission is free for everything.
